At just under 12.2 hands, Tickle is our smallest pony mare. She is a chestnut with flaxen mane and tail, three full stockings, blaze and extensive sabino ticking. She has the distinction of having traveled all the way to the East coast and back through the course of various sales, and it always pleases me to hear of West coast bred ponies being purchased by East coast buyers!
Tickle had an extensive and successful in hand show career. She was also shown on the Washington State Horseman circuit and won the state championship in Green Driving and Pony Driving. In 2004 she was presented for inspection with
the American Sportpony Registry and was 1st Premium Approved and the Site Reserve Champion behind her son, Winterlake Got Moxie (by North Forks
Brenin Cardi). Winterlake Portia and
Winterlake Sophia, Tickle’s 2005 and 2006 fillies, were also both ASPR Site
Reserve Champions in their respective years.
Tickle is also trained to ride and although green under saddle, is willing and gentle with young riders.
