Phillips Texas Gold - $5,500

2000 13.0 Palomino Welsh Pony (Section B) gelding

Script T Pouilly Fume x Hollow Tree Polonaise

Texas is a darling pony, ready to start his career in the show ring with his own child.  A good fit for him would be in a home where he can do pony hunters, eventing, or pony club.  He is currently cantering small courses and easily jumps his required medium pony hunter height of 2'6" (still eligible green).  His form is excellent and he is bold and adjustable to fences but never rushes.  I took him to a baby hunter show this year and he got two firsts and two seconds in his four classes (on the flat and over small fences).

Texas tends to be a little on the lazy side so you don't have to worry about him getting too fast or taking off with your child.  With a beginner he will safely walk around the arena but it takes a child with an educated leg to get him to trot and canter.

Texas happily hacks out alone or in company and can be ridden cross country in a rubber snaffle.  In addition to his arena work he has been ridden on trails and at the beach.  More photos may be viewed here.  (This link will take you to a Picasa album so right-click and open in a new tab for easy navigation back to this page.)

Myrewyn Sweet Salt Peanuts - $2,800

2008 Welsh Pony of Cob Type colt, to mature to 12.2

Glenhaven Sweet Souie Souie x North Forks Tickle Your Fancy

Peanut is a bold colt in a fancy package!  His dam, North Forks Tickle Your Fancy, is a proven producer of big-moving dressage and driving ponies (she had a successful career in halter and driving herself) and Peanut's sire, Glenhaven Sweet Souie Souie (Cory) is a son of the well-known *Vimpenny Sweet Sultan, sire of both purebred and half-Welsh pony hunters.  Peanut is Cory's first foal and I think he started right out with a bang!

Peanut has a beautiful neck, long legs and plenty of bone.  He string tests to 12.2, just about the same height as his dam.  He leads nicely, clips, bathes, and stands in crossties to have his feet trimmed.  He would be a great choice as a prospective stallion for someone looking to breed half-Welsh sport ponies.  Of course he could also follow in his mother's footsteps as an outstanding driving pony.

Photos show Peanut with his sire and best friend.  Click to see larger versions so you can tell whose legs are whose!

Myrewyn Sophisticated Lady - "Diana" - $9,500  WINTER SALE!  $6,500 for a limited time only

2007 Thoroughbred Cross filly, to mature between 16.0 - 16.1

Guaranteed Gold (TB) x Rosalynn

Diana's sire is the wonderful Thoroughbred stallion Guaranteed Gold, sire of Chai Latte and Faux Finish.  Guaranteed Gold is well-known for siring foals out of all types of mares who are beautiful, correct, and capable of winning on the line in heavy competition.  Diana's dam is our own Rosalynn who won dressage championships through second level before retiring to be a broodmare and lesson horse.

Diana is a palomino but she would be an eye-catching filly in any color.  She floats when she moves and trots with very little knee.  She has her dam's beautiful, expressive face and her sire's gorgeous neck.

Diana has been brilliant since the day she was born and is very reluctantly for sale only to a home where she will be shown to her full potential as a hunter or dressage horse.

More photos and information may be seen on the 2007 foal page.
