Our breeding program is very much in its infancy so there are not many foals to show yet.  One mare was bred in 2004 and one was bred in 2006 for foals born in 2005 and 2007, respectively.  Not really a part of our current pony program, these breedings were done on a more personal level to produce future hunter or jumper prospects intended to be retained.

While ponies have been an interest for many years, it was only within the past few years that we were able to start putting together the beginnings of a sport pony breeding herd with the purchase of some lovely mares and in late 2005, our first future stallion.  Our goal is to breed athletic, sturdy ponies that look like ponies, with temperaments suited for riding and handling by young children.

Our program is based around the following breeds:

Welsh - The Welshes are natural little athletes.  While more aloof at first than the Arabians, they bond with their special people and have intelligence on par with many dogs.  Welshes have huge suspension and extension to their gaits and a natural ability to jump.  They tend to stamp their offspring with tiny ears, large eyes and beautiful faces.

Arabian - The Arabians will be the cornerstone of our program.  Typical of the breed, our Arabian mares love people.  They are highly intelligent and learn very quickly.  Often overlooked is their natural suspension and athletic ability.  Arabians have been highly influential in the creation of riding breeds all over the world and are commonly crossed in to improve other breeds.

Thoroughbred - Thoroughbreds are recognized in most of the world as first rate racehorses, but they are truly a versatile breed and can be found competing in many disciplines.  Field and show hunters have typically been high percentage thoroughbreds. They add elegance and a willingness to work to their offspring.

Warmblood - Warmblood horses were first developed in Europe through careful breeding programs crossing heavier, draft-type horses with light riding horses such as Thoroughbreds and Arabians.  Warmbloods are known for their athletic ability and are found competing at the highest levels of dressage and jumpers worldwide.
