Inigo ~ Inbegriff (RPSI) x Miss Dolphin (TB)
black colt (now gelded) born April 8 ~ retained ~ jumper prospect
Inigo is the result of our very first breeding and we could not be more pleased with the results. Tragically we lost his wonderful dam, Mira, less than an hour after his birth. The broad ligament that holds up the uterus tore and caused the rupture of the large artery that runs along this ligament.
Inigo is a very big boy! His sire, Inbegriff, is 16.3 and Mira stood 16.2, but various height prediction methods put Inigo's adult height between 17 and 18 hands. He is solid black with no white markings but in his summer coat if you look closely you can see he inherited rabicano (white ticking on his flanks) from Mira.
Because Inigo was hand-raised he will always be a little quirky and does not completely understand horse language. He has bonded with the small ponies, will tolerate the company of the horse sized geldings, but is petrified of mares.
Inigo has been retained as a jumper prospect so updated photos of his growth and training will be posted here. Inigo's Webshots album was chosen for a Webshots Mothers Day 2006 feature which brought a lot of attention and now he has fans all over the world!
